Johnson Controls announces a new BACnet MS/TP to BACnet IP Router

Johnson Controls announces a new router for Facility Explorer systems and new features for Facility Explorer controllers and DLK local display.

Johnson Controls is introducing a new BACnet MS/ TP to BACnet IP Router to help streamline integrations and reduce costs. This Router offering is available in three configurations: router only, router in a panel, or custom panel. The Router allows for BACnet integrations without the need for a dedicated Facility Explorer supervisory controller.

The BACnet Router facilitates communication between BACnet/IP and BACnet MS/TP networks to monitor and control a wide variety of HVAC equipment, meters, fire alarm panels, and lighting on the Building Automation System (BAS).

DLK Local Controller Display and Controller Enhancements

The DLK Local Controller Display, CG Controllers with onboard display, and SNC supervisory controllers with onboard displays now have several new features to improve field productivity. These new features include:

  • Live Trend feature that helps commission SNC, CG, and CV series devices by providing a field technician the ability to plot the present value of up to two untrended application points, in real-time, on a graphical trend chart

  • Point Display Mode setting to select between hardware and software points as the preferred view when working with a local application on SNC controllers

  • Plug and play functionality to save field technicians’ time by enabling the display to be functional out of the box with little to no user configuration required

  • Trend table view to allow a technician to view trend data in a tabular format
