Johnson Controls is pleased to announce the release of the new Facility Explorer FX90 Supervisory Controller. The FX90 provides integrated control supervision and network management services for local networks of equipment controllers. It features scheduling, alarming, historical data collection and management, 3D system graphics, and more. The FX90 Supervisory Controller also supports the exclusive FX Appliance productivity tools to streamline and automate workflows and save time and money from bid to operation.
The new FX90 Supervisory Controller, successor to the FX80,features a modernized hardware platform with advanced features for enhanced performance, further extending supervisory control capability and scalability for current and future needs of building systems.

- Faster Processor: Quad core 1.6 GHz iMX8M+CPU (formerly Single core 1 GHz TI AM3522)
- Ensures faster boot up and station startup times, making on site commissioning more efficient. The user interface and graphics also provide a more responsive experience.
- Increased memory and storage capacity:
- 2 GB RAM memory (formerly 1 GB)
- 8 GB onboard EMMC storage
- 8 GB uSD (formerly 4 GB uSD)
- Increased memory capacity allows for quicker data access and more space for backups and point history. It provides room for future upgrades, reassuring customers of a long operational life once installed.
- Supports the FX Appliance
- The FX Appliance offers over 20 distinct productivity features built on top of the Niagara framework. It enables users to quickly build a system configuration database in minutes, with automatic tagging, auto-generated 3D graphics, and more, saving time and money from bid to operation.
- Ability to scale
- The FX90 can scale from basic to complex applications with a single hardware platform using orderable device and point licensing. License upgrades can be purchased in the future as needs grow without needing to replace the controller.
- Same footprint, wiring connection locations and orientation as the FX80 and fully compatible with all existing expansion modules
- Enables a seamless drop-in replacement or upgrade, saving time and money.
- Stock option
- The FX-SC9BASE-0 is purchased separately, stocked, and field-commissioned and field-licensed.
